Great Sand Dunes

Many of the pictures in the desert gallery at joshuadunnprints.com were taken at Great Sand Dunes National Park, home of the tallest sand dunes in North America (750 feet!).

The story of the dunes rising mysteriously with no large desert area around is fascinating. Another interesting fact is that these dunes are constantly being weathered down, however because of the unique location, they are continually being rebuilt.
